In my recent blogs over the last few months, I have written about our Selection Gallery, our Trade Partners and our new home communities.  Let’s take a break from that and talk about the Berks Homes experience.  Why build with Berks Homes? Aside from our Selection Gallery Consultants, Berks Homes employs talented individuals at every level. They take great pride in hiring people who live their Guiding Principles, from the top down.  Their employees are more than just staff, they are family.  I can personally attest to this.  When I had an unexpected event happen in my life, Berks Homes was quick to respond and support me through it. I think I can safely speak for all staff, in saying that Berks Homes values its employees and understands that it is a two-way street, a give and take on both sides. Let’s face it, if staff are happy, they will strive to be the best of the best. Berks employees treat customers how they would want to be treated.  Many staff have had a Berks home built for them and several customers have become employees, all stating that they wanted to be a part of what Berks Homes exemplifies. That speaks volumes to me.

We take the home building experience so seriously, that we recently developed a new department that includes a Chief Experience Officer, Director of Experience, an Experience Specialist, as well as a Concierge, to ensure that the “experience” vision is carried out!  This team is dedicated to making the experience, easy, enjoyable and well worth it! This includes looking for fun, unique and useful closing gift ideas, to planning community events! We have even pulled off a couple marriage proposals along the way! We don’t just do this for the customer, we carry the experience to our employees and Trade Partners, as well, ensuring that staff and our trade partners are seen as an important aspect of the business, which leads to a happy work life for all!  How do we do this?  We hold ongoing trainings for staff, host monthly Friday Fun Lunches, plan holiday parties, set up food trucks to visit our trades working in our communities building our homes, purchase limited edition Berks Homes apparel for all staff, and host Trade Partner Appreciation luncheons where we recognize and thank them for their commitment to Berks Homes and you! Sometimes it’s the little things that matter.
