How long does it take to build a home?

Typically, it takes approximately 9-12 months to build a new construction home.

Can Berks Homes build a home on my land?

Yes! We have a division called On Your Land (OYL). We have several, modifiable floor plans to choose from. For more information, read our blog or visit our website.

Can I personalize my new home?

You can pick every aspect of your home from your electrical outlet covers to your carpeting. You will have fun working with our Selection Gallery Consultants in our first-class Selection Galleries, located in each of our 3 regions, for your convenience.

Do you offer Quick Move-In homes?

We do offer Quick Move-In homes at various times and stages of construction. Check out our quick move-in homes to see what we have available at any given time.

Where can I go to see a model home?

We have model homes located throughout our 3 regions that are open for tours Tuesday through Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm or by appointment.

What style homes do you build?

We build both 1-story and 2-story homes with 3 and 4 bedrooms, 2 and 2 1/2 baths. Our homes are functional and timeless with open floor plans that range from 1,800 sq. ft. to 3,500 sq. ft., depending on the floor plan you choose.

How many years has Berks Homes been in business?

Berks Homes has been in business since 1973. In fact, we are gearing up to celebrate our 50th year anniversary!

What kind of Home Warranty do your homes have?

We are proud to offer the best warranty program available today. We partner with Professional Warranty Service Corporation (PWSC), backing our warranty with the strength of one of America's largest insurance organizations. Here is a quick breakdown of what our warranty offers:

Currently, we are building within 3 regions of Pennsylvania that include Southeast (Berks County and Montgomery County), South Central (Adams County, Cumberland County, Dauphin County, Perry County, and York County), and Central (Centre County, Columbia County, Montour County, Northumberland County, and Union County).

How do I go about financing my new home?
