Southeast, PA is a great place to call home and an even better place to get some good, quality food!

This area of Pennsylvania offers a lot of options. Here are my top 5.

Mimmo's Restaurant.  I don't just love Mimmo's for the tasty food, but also for the atmosphere. Depending on your mood, they offer a casual, family dining area, or if you're looking for a private, more intimate setting, they've got that covered too. They offer a wide variety of Italian and American food. My favorite? Their Cheese Tortellini with marinara sauce, plus an order of garlic bread. The tortellini is always cooked to perfection. If I could insert the emoji with the tongue here, I would!

Doc and Bubbas. If you are looking for a place that offers food AND fun, then look no further than Doc and Bubbas in Mohnton, PA. This place boasts both indoor and outdoor dining, local, nightly bands and great food to boot. This is a great venue to either eat and run or sit back, eat, drink and enjoy great music. In the cooler weather, I've enjoyed sitting on the outdoor patio, keeping toasty with their heat lamps.

Austin's Restaurant & Bar. This is a new favorite of mine. I tried this out for the first time, just last week and I was NOT disappointed. As soon as I walked through the doors, I knew this was going t be a place that I'd want to frequent again...and I was correct! The portions are, hands down, the largest that I've ever seen. I loved the Vegetable Bowl of roasted vegetables, bruschetta tomatoes and toast over brown rice with a balsamic reduction drizzle topping it off. That doesn't mean I wasn't envious of the other meals at my table that were the biggest salads I have ever seen...and I eat a ton of salad. My best advice is when you are planning a trip to Austin's make sure you go hungry.

Chatty Monks Brewing Company. Chatty Monk's is a place like no other that I've enjoyed. A lot of their menu items are, in their words, "pub stables with a twist". What's the twist? They are one of the only breweries to serve Indian-fusion food. Are you wondering what that means exactly? Well, for starters, it means it's going to be good! But in all seriousness, they take a classic like hummus and infuse it with Indian spices and sauces, for a taste you won't find anywhere else.

Ganly's. With everyone's favorite Irish holiday just a few days away, I thought this would be the perfect restaurant to recommend. Ganly's is an Irish Pub that offers the best Irish dishes such as Shepherds Pie and Fish and Chips. They also offer American dishes. All in a relaxed, fun and inviting atmosphere. What more could you ask for? If you can't make it in to visit over St. Patty's Day, the summer is a perfect time to stop in, as the patio will be open and seasonal drinks will be flowing. I swear food and drinks just hit differently when sitting on a patio or deck. You will definitely enjoy the great view as well.
